Shares of Volkswagon have drastically increased in value as rumors hedge funds have been forced to buy scarce shares at high prices in order to unwind bets betting that the stock would drop. Porsche now holds nearly 43 percent of the company and has option to reach 75 percent by next year leading to the company have a shortage of available shares.
