What is Strumors?

Strumors is a community driven web site with a focus on market data and its effect on equities, ETFs, and mutual funds. Strumors is designed to promote the most critical information as decided upon by our community. Every news article is submitted by users, promoted by users, and actively commented by its users.

Why the name Strumors?

Strumors was not designed to be about stock rumors, but was developed to list prominent financial information as fast as possible. Once a user submits an article the article is instantly published to the site, and then it is up to the community to decide rather or not the article is from a reliable source. The reason for the name Strumors or "Stock Rumors" is an attempt to make it well known that Strumors does not endorse any investments based on information from the site.

Who is behind Strumors?

Strumors was founded by Tim at age 24 in August 2007. And hopes to be the first major financial website to involve the community in ranking financial news to filter out all but the most prominent and reliable information.

What is the production status of Strumors?

Right now Strumors has only been released for testing purposes. We are providing a public alpha test to gain a large pool of testers to help us with bugs, features, and scalability.
