Wachovia to Discontinue Mortgage Loans Across Parts of California (www.forbes.com)

Wachovia is considering discontinuing its Pick-A-Payment loans across 17 counties in California that have been hit particularly hard by failing home prices and rising foreclosures. The loans allow the buyer to choose different payment options each month; however, the options may allow the borrowers' balances to increase.
