Intel and STMicroelectronics to Create New Company (www.bizjournals.com)

Intel Corporation and Microelectronics signed a deal Monday to combine both of their flash memory divisions into a new company named Numonyx B.V. The new company will be the third-largest non-volite memory producer with $3 billion in expected revenues just behind Samsung and Toshiba.
