The three Internet giants, Yahoo, Google, and MySpace, have all joined together to form OpenSocial. OpenSocial is a non-for-profit foundation, which is scheduled to launch within the next 90 days. OpenSocial is a framework that will allow developers to develop web applications which will work across all major websites. OpenSocial will be a direct competitor with Facebook's propiretary application framework.
