GM reported Wednesday that its sales for 2007 grew 3 percent to reach 9,369,524. Toyota released its sales figures earlier this month of 9.37; however, the company did not release an exact number of vehicles sold. It is unclear if Toyota will release exact numbers. Toyota has been neck and neck all year long with GM in sales, and with consisting strong results its unlikely that this will change. It seems the sales race for 2007 is essentially a tie, as both companies look forward to claim the number one spot in 2008.
