Dow Posts Worst Yearly Drop Since 1937 (www.bloomberg.com)

The Dow Jones Industrial Average retreated another 500 points Tuesday. The index has slid nearly 29 percent this year making it the largest yearly decline for the index since 1937. Leon Cooperman, who manages the $6 billion hedge fund for Omega Advisors, stated that we have reached the end of a cliff and now have to either start receding as in the past or go over the cliff.
