U.S. Economy Sees Surprise Growth (www.washingtonpost.com)

The U.S. economy grew by 3.3 percent in the second quarter from April to June as consumers spent their stimulus checks. Also the weaker dollar has led to a large increase in exports to foreign countries. The growth has been the highest amount for the U.S. since mid 2007. Economists on average had only been anticipating a growth rate of 1.9 percent.
