The Senate is set to pass a bill already passed by the House of Representatives to provide a fail-safe for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. The bill includes up to $300 billion in order to help troubled homeowners. Many are concerned that bill goes to far. It will ultimately cause tax payers to bear the costs of the mortgage crisis. President nominee McCain stated that "Americans should be outraged at the latest sweetheart deal in Washington."
