In as little as six months, new rulings in net neutrality may disallow ISPs from blocking or throttling applications and content from their networks. Martin's proposal does not include any fines and only applies to Comcast; however, if accepted it may act as a precedent for other ISPs in the future. The proposal would require Comcast to disclose all network management policies and sanctions against the company accused of blocking peer-to-peer traffic. The issue is expected to be voted on at or before the commission's August 1st meeting.
