Verizon to Exceed Initial FiOS Buildout (www.reuters.com)

Verizon reported on Tuesday that it may exceed its initial plans to of reaching 18 million homes by the end of 2010. This is in spite of slower economic conditions. CEO Denny Strigl stated that he now plans to reach 20 million homes by the end of 2010 and is anticipating surpassing 12 million homes by the end of this year.
